Regency Magnifying Glass

A very large Regency rosewood and brass magnifying glass. English circa 1830.

Diameter 21cm. Length 41cm

Condition. Tiny chip to the edge of the glass, otherwise very good.

I thought at first this was a Gallery Glass, for viewing pictures at a distance. But the focal length means it only works for objects that are very near.
